The house had everything we needed and more—spacious, clean, and well-stocked with thoughtful touches throughout. The heated pool and hot tub were definite highlights and perfect for relaxing after our daily adventures. Our family spent hours enjoying the outdoor space, and it was great to have both fun and downtime without ever leaving the property. One of the best features was the location—just a pleasant 20-minute walk to downtown Lake Chelan, where we explored shops, restaurants, and the lakefront. It was the perfect balance of convenience and peace. The neighborhood was quiet, and we felt right at home. This place truly had something for everyone, and we’re already talking about coming back next year. Highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great amenities and a fantastic location!

Winter weekend

We enjoyed the neighborhood and proximity to the year round pool and hot tub (except for when other guests stayed at the hot tub until nearly 11p generating quite some noise). We had some minor issues inside the home (defective smoke detectors beeping, even after batteries were changed - required maintenance to come back the next day to rewire; coffee machine was missing the carafe), and some very minor things that felt like misses (not a single k cup to get the stay started, sheets were very stiff / poor quality). Couch was a good size for the 3 of us but definitely wouldn’t fit a family of 4 unless 2 small children cuddle up. Overall, for the price in off season, would’ve expected a bit more.

We enjoyed the amenities the property offered including the pool and hot tub. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed including the essentials. I would definitely recommend the Lookout and the home we stayed in and looking forward to our next visit.

Rum Away With Me was the perfect house for us, best location right next to the pool, and a quick drive into town. The Lookout team was so friendly and prompt with answering all my questions. We will definitely be staying again at the Lookout!

The shade in the back is amazing when it is hot out, the fireplace is awesome on cool mornings, and the sizes of the TVs are exactly what you want when you want to watch a family movie. Annual Chelan trip. First time at Lookout

Timing was good so we avoided a lot of kids.Definately nice for families with children. If looking for quiet adult retreat plan ahead and go before school is out

The only issue we encountered was that the wifi password written in the guest book was incorrect, and we could not use the TV or our electronics.

Rum Away With Me is a custom rustic cottage with industrial touches and fine wood finishes. It is steps from a gigantic 20-person hot tub, a year-round Olympic-sized pool, and a summer splash pad for kids (or adults who are kids at heart!).
Spend your time out on the back patio, lounging on memory foam chairs and loveseat, and turn on the overhead mounted heater for those cooler evenings. Sit around the fire pit on premium Adirondack chairs with a cocktail, or fire up the BBQ grill and eat on the outdoor dining table!
Next, enter through grand sliding glass doors from the back patio into a rustic living room with wood paneling on the ceiling. Cozy up on the couch with the remote-controlled fireplace and enjoy immersive streaming options on the 65” 4K UltraLED smart TV. Easily stream your content directly from your phone with the TV’s built-in G. Chromecast. Use the included Xbox One X or Blu-ray/DVD player for additional entertainment options and lower the blackout shades all around for a movie theatre experience!
Continuing through the home, you will see a large live-edge wooden dining table to accommodate all your guests, with brand new appliances, custom wood cabinets, and a large farmhouse sink. You will find a coffee bar in the pantry with options for drip, Keurig, French press-style coffee, and an electric tea kettle. There is ample storage for food and wine that you pick up during your stay. Completing the downstairs is a bathroom with a shower and a laundry closet with a full washer and dryer.
Heading upstairs, you will find two bedrooms; the master suite boasts a sprawling California King bed, a desk for those needing to work virtually, and a 55” 4K smart TV for late-night entertainment in bed. The floor-to-ceiling window overlooks the hot tub and the cottage district, with beautiful sunset views over the mountain.
The guest suite has full bunk beds, accommodating up to four kids or three adults. Enjoy a great night’s sleep on the memory foam mattresses and unwind with your 4K TV for individual entertainment in every room. Sunrise views out the floor-to-ceiling window, with a glimpse of downtown Chelan.
Rum Away with Me’s location is ideal for all seasons! Literally feet away from the hot tub and vineyard pool, only a short walk from Vin du Lac Winery for some wine tasting or brunch, and a 4-minute drive to Safeway or Starbucks for any necessities or goodies you might desire! Take the shuttle down to the waterfront to swim, play in the sand, relax on the lounge chairs, or rent a boat or seadoo for a great day on the lake.
Pets are allowed at Rum Away with Me. Please limit one dog up to 75 lbs or two small dogs with a combined weight under 75 lbs. Dogs MUST BE housetrained and crate trained.
