The rental management community and communication with them was great. The house needed a little bit renovation at some places especially furnitures and carpets. The kitchen was ok. According to the price range, tools can be upgraded. Animals are allowed and this requires deeper cleaning. Under the furnitures were so dirty. Overall was a good stay.

Good trip for the family. Liked the fire pit and rocking chairs. Good locations to the pool and plenty of parking. <br/><br/>The house was not very clean, at all. That is where any negative side comes from. And no real indication if things were sanitized. General dirt, dust, and cobwebs were evident. For the $300 cleaning fee, and $100 pet fee - It didn’t seem like the house was at the standard of cleanliness as you’d hope.

Our family of 10, which included 4 grandchildren, had a wonderful week at You Had Me at Merlot! The house was large, beautifully appointed and clean. The grandchildren especially loved the downstairs bunk room. But the location was what we enjoyed the most. Situated right on the green space that leads down to the new Vineyard pool and hot tub, we walked out the front door, down the wrap-around porch steps and the kids had a huge space to play, run and swing the bat. Our golden retriever so enjoyed it, as well!! There were a few issues like a fridge that collected ice and then leaked onto the kitchen floor, and skillets that need to be replaced with non-stick ones. But, those were small things to endure when at The Lookout. This is our 5th time to stay here and Merlot is our favorite house so far. Thank you, and thanks to Lake Chelan for another fantastic time!

We always enjoy our time at The Lookout. This year we rented later in the season and were lucky to get a home that would accommodate kids, dogs and all our family needs. The house had a couple of maintenance issues: the master bedroom door would lock me inside the master bedroom if shut the door all the way and the key pad located on the west door was so scratch that if the sun was shining I couldn't see the numbers at all. Otherwise, the house was perfect. As for the management company, they have very unenthusiastic ladies answering the phone. I felt like I was bothering them when I called. The just didn't fit the happy vibe of The lookout. However, the drivers that helped us get my mother to the boat dock were so cute and friendly it made up for the reception women being distant.

Our family had a great weekend at You Had Me At Merlot! Everything was exactly as described and even better than we expected. This lovely home is just right for a large family or extended family. We loved the main floor gathering area with the bedrooms upstairs and in the basement. This allowed for people to be together in the kitchen or family room while others slept in their bedrooms. While it does not have a yard, it has a terrific outdoor fire place with plenty of space to gather. The wrap around deck and upstairs balcony are very nice and gave us the perfect place to watch the Winterfest fireworks. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that we had a barbecue and also access to the pool and community hot tubs. The communication leading up to our stay was great and check-in was really easy. Everything about our stay was perfect. We would definitely like to go back!

We stayed in You Had Me At Merlot for a quick fall weekend in Chelan. The house had a great open floorplan with a well stocked kitchen and a huge 65" TV in the living room (perfect for football on Saturday). The beds were comfy and there was more than enough space for all that stayed there. Morning walks through the Lookout are our favorite and we were even able to bring our English Bulldog Rosco which was an added bonus. Thanks for the wonderful stay, I just wish we had more time there!

We rented "Merlot" for a 3-day weekend to attend a family wedding in Chelan. The 3 bedrooms were great for our two daughters and their husbands and us. The young adult children were happy to sleep in the basement in the bunk beds. Adequate supplies and linens were provided. We had a wonderful time!

We were very impressed with the lookout. We rented the house with three families and I was concerned that the kids would be too far from us in the bunk rooms downstairs, but that was not the case. the rooms are all beautiful and spacious, there is everything we could ever need and the indoor and outdoor entertaining areas were ideal. Were excited to come back next year and bring our dog. Its a great place for families and wine lovers!

We had a bachelorette party of 11 girls stay here & the house was filled to the max. There are only two showers so make sure you take that into consideration!!! I was making breakfast both mornings & had to flip the breaker because we were using too much electricity? Coffee maker, oven for bacon, toaster & griddle made the power keep turning off so we had to make coffee downstairs and I made pancakes on the other side of the house. <br/><br/>This house advertises that it can hold up to 15... 11 was really pushing it. Note that there are only FOUR full size bunk beds down stairs. <br/><br/>We did have a really good time & the location of the house is really convieniant to chelan. The house is also beautifully decorated. <br/><br/>Also- the locking door system did not work. We even had our shuttle driver try to help with no luck. Convenient theres no physical key but not easy to use.

New development, in January 2018 less than 25% build, so lots of open spaces for sledding and great views. Set on a hill about 1.5 miles from downtown chelan with a sidewalk connection it’s an easy walk. <br/>House is brand new and very tastefully decorated, 3 king bedrooms up, large bunk room downstairs, living space on main floor. Not a huge house but very well laid out and equipped with everything from dishes to pool towels etc. This house does not have a garage or storage area so if your skiing or snowmobiling you won’t have a place to dry your gear besides the basement bunk room. There are 3 parking spots in front but they only cleared one from snow so we were lucky we brought a shovel so we could clear the other 2 since street parking is limited to one vehicle and impossible altogether in the winter because they plow the street snow onto the curbs rather than the open lots. <br/>the reception staff was extremely nice and helpful though the phone number listed for the office goes to an answering service even during office hours, which I thought was odd. But it’s a short walk to the office so it wasn’t a big deal. <br/>Overall we really liked the place and had a great time!<br/>

Welcome to “You Had Me at Merlot” the first home in the brand-new Vineyard District on the north shore of beautiful Lake Chelan. Nestled on the east side of The Lookout facing downtown Chelan, this brand-new Vineyard home is enhanced by east-facing vistas that capture the morning sun and views of the lake and neighboring vineyards. This 2,600-square foot, 3-story, 3-bedroom vacation home sleeps 15 people in beds. YHMAM is centrally located near the 70-slip marina, Lookout Park, children’s play area, large open field, pickleball court, outdoor fireplace, community grill, pool, hot tub and beach cove. This home features a spacious porch fronting Vineyard Park, a beautiful and expansive park running the length of the Vineyard District.
The main floor has beautiful wide plank hardwood floors, a fully stocked custom kitchen, including a farmhouse sink, quartz countertops, gas range, a large island with seating for 4 and a farmhouse dining table that seats 10. The large open living room boasts an oversized sectional, 2 chairs, cozy gas fireplace, and a separate game area. We have a wall mounted 65” TV and blue-ray player for movie nights too! There is a ½ bath on this floor.
There are two sets of French doors that open onto a wide, covered, wrap-around porch to soak in the 300 days of sun complete with Adirondack chairs, dining table for 10 and a gourmet stainless BBQ and grill set!
The top level of the home features a large master bedroom with 10’ x 24’ outdoor balcony complete with bistro table and chairs to enjoy the massive view of the lake, town, and surrounding hills. The master bedroom boasts a king bed, side tables, large dresser drawers and a wall mounted 40” Smart TV with all the apps you need to watch your favorite shows. The master bath has a large walk-in shower, huge walk-in closet, and double vanity. The top floor sleeps 6 people comfortably.
The top level includes two additional king bedrooms complete with their own wall mounted 40” Smart TV and large closets. These 2 bedrooms share an upstairs bathroom with tub/shower combo.
The bottom floor is the perfect place for kids or to host a party on game day. A wall mounted 65” TV with Xbox One / DVD Player takes over one wall. A massive sectional and ottoman is on the other side. The bottom floor also includes 2, full over full bunk beds with twin trundle and sleeps 9 people in beds. There is a ½ bathroom with full-size front loading washer and dryer complete with ironing board, cleaning supplies and all the beach towels you will need.
We have thought of everything to make your vacation stay at “You Had Me at Merlot” as comfortable as possible. Additional amenities include; luxury memory foam mattresses, board games, hair dryers, 2 cruiser bikes and complimentary high-speed internet as well as a cozy fire pit with entertaining area in the backyard (to be completed May 2017)
Pets are allowed in this home and your pooch will find a food/water station, dog bed, leash and poop bags awaiting them upon arrival. We allow two dogs under 70lbs during your stay
Maximum of 2 dogs, 70 pounds or less, create sleeper, potty trained.

The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends.
