Welcome to The Happy Place Cottage at the Lookout at Lake Chelan, located poolside on the Vineyard District Pool and outdoor hot tub. This new two story cottage sleeps up to 6, overlooks the splash pad, and is just steps away from the pool. Sit on the comfy couch on the porch and watch all the action, roast some marshmallows while sitting around the fire pit, or grab your swimsuit and jump in. There’s so much fun to be had! This bright, open two-bedroom cottage with vaulted ceilings and large windows feels both airy and cozy at the same time.

The Vineyard District Pool is Olympic length. The splash pad is especially popular with little kids, and the 20-person hot tub open to the sky all year round. Because of Covid-19 concerns, during winter months - October to April - the normal winter pool tent has been left off, and may not be warm enough to swim in. The top floor of this home has two bedrooms and bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Vineyard District Pool, with views of Chelan Butte, the lake, and downtown Chelan. The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed and floor-to-ceiling windows, with a view of The Lookout Vineyard and Lake Chelan.

On the first floor of the home is a sofa sleeper that looks out onto the pool. A fully stocked kitchen and a ¾ bath fill out this level. A comfortable window nook lets you enjoy the morning sun.

Outside on the deck you can barbecue, and on a cool breezy evening, turn on the porch heater and snuggle up on the couch. Don’t forget the fire pit for cheery warmth and s’mores.

We know that after a stay with us, you too will call this your Happy Place!

The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. Please contact the Lookout Cottage Rentals at with any questions or concerns.

Well stocked house. Our only complaint was the coffee maker... With 4 people staying here, a full size coffee pot maker would be great. Everything else was just as expected and wonderful.

This place is great! I've never stayed at a place so convenient. The whole wedding party stayed in this complex, and were all within a 2 minute walk from each other. I definately would like to come back.

I came for work. The place is lovely. Having each bedroom have a bath was exceptional. The only complaint I have is there was a lot of construction going on the roadway.

Our family had a great time at the lookout. The house was fully stocked with all the things we needed. It's small but quaint and just perfect for the 4 of us! It's right outside the pool so ease of access and loved the amenities the lookout has to offer!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation and plan to return again in the future! We loved the convenience to the pool, and the size was nice for the 5 of us. Bonus items include a ton of pool toys and board games, as well as other outdoor activity items. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and serve ware, and the large dining table was great. The only things we missed were bonus items like foil. The management team was friendly and easy to reach for questions and the grounds were well maintained. Not a negative, but information for potential future renters: the stairs to the bedrooms are a little steep if you have mobility issues (though the pull out sofa is on the main level), and only one parking spot is available at the residence (extra vehicles must use the overflow lot which is sufficiently far that we shuttled people to the house.) We weren’t bothered because we have an infant that gets up early, but renters planning to stay at this house in the near future should be aware that (as noted on the website) the houses immediately across the roadway are in finishing stages of construction and there is associated noise from about 7:30 am. Again, this rental was perfect for our stay and we would recommend it for a small group that would enjoy the proximity to the pool area.

My friends and I had the best time staying at The Happy Place. The cottage is impeccably organized and decorated, and we really appreciated all of the attention to detail that the owners have put in. The house has all of the amenities you might need, including tons of games and puzzles for relaxing entertainment. The location right next to the pool is awesome as well! We are already talking about when we can go back.

What a wonderful little cottage, location location, location. Our 2 year old son was up and in the pool every morning, the fate to the pool is right out the patio. We spend one day down at the beach which he loved also. The cottage had everything we needed, made breakfast in the morning had coffee outside. What a great complex easy bike ride to town, great place to take a walk. We meet so many other families their with there kids. Just book it you won’t be disappointed!

This was our first time staying at The Lookout - we haven’t visited Lake Chelan in over 10 years. The community is stunning! We enjoyed the walk ability of it and the amenities such as the pool, hot tub, bocce ball, pickle ball court and playgrounds. We also brought our bikes for the trip but weren’t able to ride much because the neighborhood had more hills that I anticipated. If we visit again, we’ll leave the bikes at home.

The home we stayed in was very well maintained and stocked for any adventure. The overall layout and design had a very good use of space and it felt bigger than it actually was. We were steps away from the pool which was nice to determine how busy it was before committing. We would definitely stay in this home again!

Our family of four had an amazing stay in The Happy Place at the Lookout in Chelan. Our plans for summer trips to New England and California were thwarted by Covid, and we were lucky to get a spot in beautiful Lake Chelan instead. Even though we weren't too far from home, we felt like we had a luxurious summer vacation because of the amenities at the Lookout and because of this gorgeous home. We loved everything about the cottage--the design, the proximity to the pool, the comfort of the beds, the gas fire pit, the art TV, the cozy porch, the wonderful neighbors. I could go on. The home has everything you need! Beach games, kitchen essentials, plenty of towels, etc. Such attention to detail! The Lookout staff was wonderful, too. The pools and neighborhood are extremely clean. The ATV rides to the lake were easy--we never had to wait long for a driver. Our family had lots of fun swimming, paddle boarding, and relaxing at the lake. We definitely hope to be back again!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage! The location right by the pool was great and it was very well equipped. Weather in July was fantastic and we enjoyed lots of walks and sitting out on the porch with coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening.

Great spot to camp out for a couple of cold days over Thanskgiving! Beautiful spot, and pool access was great (note: the heater in the main pool was broken, but the hot tub was great). House is immaculate and perfect for this short stay with spouse and 3 kids under 9

The first thing I noticed, was that this house is extremely clean, which is nice and reassuring, especially during the pandemic. Everything is new and of high quality, the kitchen is fully equipped, new pots and pans, a smart TV that turns into an art picture when not in use, cozy blankets on the sofa etc. This house is perfect if you feel you need a change of location, but want to stay safe.
