Welcome to Moondance in beautiful Chelan.  This 3-story, 5-bedroom, 5.5-bath vacation home accommodates as many as 14 guests and is the perfect retreat for multiple families, extended families, and couples getting away for some quiet time.

The main floor features a king-size master suite, a well-appointed kitchen, and a great room with comfortable seating, a 60-inch flat-screen TV with surround sound, and a gas fireplace. French doors lead to a covered deck with outdoor seating for 10, a spectacular Up-lake view, and stairs that lead to the backyard patio.

The top floor includes two queen-bedroom suites, one with a soaking tub and shower, the other with a shower/tub combination. There is also a sitting room ideal for watching a game on the 60-inch TV while relaxing in one of the two reclining leather love seats or sitting and reading a book in one of the two more cozy chairs.  The sitting room opens to the upstairs balcony that offers beautiful Up-lake views, breathtaking sunsets, and endless stargazing opportunities at night.

The lower floor is a daylight basement with a second king-size master suite with access to the backyard, a bunk room that sleeps four, and a large TV room that includes a sectional sofa with a full-size sleeper. There is an additional full bathroom as well as a fully equipped laundry room.  Double doors open from the TV room to the outdoor patio where you'll find a gas BBQ, a dining table that seats six, and more seating around the gas fire pit.  The private hot tub with beautiful Up-lake views is just a few steps from the fire pit.

Moondance features a fully integrated Sonos sound system, high-speed wireless internet service, and expanded digital high-definition cable TV service.

The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. Please contact Lookout Cottage Rentals at with any questions or concerns.

We had a fabulous stay with our family of 11 with plenty of room for all! The house is amazingly stocked with everything needed for a family vacation! The house grounds, pool, beach area, and common areas are beautifully maintained and very accessible. The best perk is the awesome shuttle service -- they were prompt, safe, and super friendly!

The only complaint is that it would be nice to have a door added to the bunk rooom for privacy, even just a curtain.

Thanks for a memorable stay!

Great house for our multi-generational, family get away. There was plenty of room for everyone + each person had their own space. Lots of options to gather inside or out or retreat to a private space. The fire pit area and ping pong room in garage were a big hit. We would definitely highly recommend moondance.

We had a wonderful Christmas week with our family of 14. Everyone had their own bathroom and bedroom. The four older kids enjoyed the bunkroom and personal TV room. Located on the first road in, very convenient to the outdoor pool. The kitchen was absolutely stocked with whatever you could want. This house was wonderful. There was nothing we needed that it did not have. Thanks for a great stay!

Where do I begin? The house is newish, beautiful, clean, spacious, and incredibly well stocked. 4 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, and are fairly equal, perfect for 4 couples (plus room for kids in bunk beds and family room). And yes, you can see the moon and the lake. Ceilings are high, which is lovely but also means the staircases are a bit much for the elderly-there's lovely master bdrm on the main floor. Awesome communication with property managers. 10+!!!

We are a family of 14 and found MOONDANCE at Lookout Cottages to be a perfect house and location. The home accommodated us very well and the location to the lake and pool were excellent.
Our only disappointment was when we had a medical emergency while boating the boat rental company employees had no experience in helping with aid. We were left at the dock to fend for ourselves other than the young men who helped with the boat.
We would love to return to MOONDANCE in the future.

The house was well equipped, had great bathrooms, and nice 4 bedrooms. The "5th bedroom" aka the bunk room was not a room at all as it had no door, which meant the 4 kids we desperately wanted to sleep after a day at the lake, on a boat, at the pool (etc) could hear anything that was happening on the main floor as there is also no door between the kitchen/main floor TV room and then bunkroom in the basement. If you really need 5 bedrooms for the home to work for you, don't book this one. If you are good with 4 bedrooms plus a bonus bunk room that people may not really need to sleep in then it should work great.

Moondance was great! Very spacious and lots of fun activities for kids. Ping pong table was a hit! This is our 2nd year staying at moondance. The rates are pretty steep. This year the house had a few issues: plumbing under kitchen sink and the dryer didn't work. And they didn't give us any warning when they started cutting up the street in front of the house and woke up the entire family at 7am. This was poor planning and poor communication.

Our son and (now) daughter-in-law got married in Chelan and we came from Australia with family and friends. 12 of us were able to stay comfortably at Moondance and had a wonderful time. Everything we needed was provided and we even shifted the bridal party get together from a local restaurant to this house as it had a hot tub, table tennis, corn hole and so much more. A perfect location with everything you need.

This is our second year coming to the lookout and loved staying at Moondance. It was great to have so many amenities (fire pit, hot tub, ping pong.) The place was really clean but had some paint peeling off the outdoor areas (deck railing, garage trim, etc). Also, the outdoor lights above the hot tub didn’t work which made us hardly use the hot tub (which we had been excited to use). The outdoor BBQ worked but the starter on the gas didn’t- we had to use matches. Other than those things it was a great space and really well-equipped for our needs.

Very easily done online. The beautiful pictures of the property attracted us and the location is two minutes to downtown Chelan and the boat launch. We were pleasantly surprised how well the house was stocked with plenty of sliver ware, utensils and spices. We loved the layout of the house with five bedrooms, especially the room with two bunk beds so both my grandkids were able to sleep on the top bunk. They did not have to fight about who gets the top bunk. We loved the fire pit and the backyard with beautiful view of the lake. Kudos to the owners. The only suggestion I have is to add a charger for electric vehicle like a Tesla.
Fantastic property! We will definitely rent it again.

This house is huge and well designed. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen that we have ever seen in a vacation rental. Every bedroom except for the bunk room has an ensuite bath. We especially liked the garage, that was converted into a gaming area - our young teen sons and their friend hung out there much of the time. They even filled the garage fridge with a bunch of drinks and had their own clubhouse back there.

The Lookout is clean and feels very safe. We had no worries letting the kids ride their bikes around there and into Chelan on the trail. In April, there wasn't as much to do in the area but we went to the pool a lot and used the hot tub and fire pit. The grill worked great.

Cons: Finding cons isn't easy, but everything can be improved. The knives weren't as sharp as I like (the home has a sharpener). Many of the pillows are uncomfortable, but we will just bring our own next time. Lastly - if this is a negative- there are no tv's in the bedrooms. There are tv's in the living room and in each media area.

Check in and out was simple and all remote.

It was a great house for the 12 of us! The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. The four bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms were awesome and the three decks with a view of the lake were amazing. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit! The walk to the pool was only 5 minutes and less than a 5 minute walk to the playground for the kids. Our family would love to stay here again anytime!

Loved the Lookout and especially loved Moondance!! What an amazing home! Location, layout, and amenities all surpassed our expectations! The view and property were fantastic. I can honestly say this was one of the best vacation homes we have ever stayed at. Adults and kids were all impressed. Will definitely book this house for our next Chelan vacation!

The home was beautiful and comfortable with plenty of gathering spaces for families and groups of playing children/teens. With three living rooms and the gaming tables in the garage, our group of 12 (including 4 adults, 2 teens, 2 tweens and 4 littles) were very comfortable. The sleeping arrangements were great with two masters on different floors and most bedrooms were spacious with attached bathrooms. We LOVED the views of the lake, the fire pit was great and we thought it was well planned to have the hot tub behind the garage with the best view as well as privacy. Loved the accommodations and would certainly rent it again!

We had 11 students and 3 chaperones and the house was set up perfect for the boys to be upstairs and our girls downstairs. Perfect distance from everything we did in Lake Chelan. Beautiful views!

Our girls weekend at Moondance was fantastic! The house is beautifully decorated and so well-stocked ... from the friendly check-in process to the spotless residence, we plan to be back soon to try each of the different properties!

Awesome house, with a great view. This house has everything you need to cook or not. Hot tub was a plus. House has plenty of room for folks to spread out. There were 7 of us with room to spare. Close enough to all the wineries and the casino if your feeling lucky. Didn’t take advantage of what the Lookout community has to offer, maybe next time. Would rent this house again!

This is our 2nd year of staying in this home - we love it here! It is close to the pool, we love the fire pit, ping pong, hot tub, and the overall layout of the home and the furnishings. It fits our family and we all love it. The home was clean and well maintained. We are thinking of going back again next year!

We have been to Chelan many times but have never been to The Lookout. It did not disappoint! This unit had many usable areas and was very well laid out for multiple families. We enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong and it's close proximity to all The Lookout has to offer. There were movies and games for the kids and lots of outdoor areas for everyone to relax. We would definitely stay here again

Moondance is an awesome house. Great layout and room for all. It has everything you need in the kitchen. We had some issues with the A/C and they came and fixed it. The only negative was that the fire pit was not functional. It looked like you needed an insert and there was no information how to access it or make it work. That was the only bummer since we booked this house over others due to the fire pit.

We absolutely loved staying at Moondance. our group was in love with the design, the bahtrooms were luxurious, and the balconies made for great lone workspaces for our retreat.
