Uplake Perch

Enjoy a unique Lake Chelan vacation experience in one of The Lookout's premiere homes. This luxury custom three-car garage, five-bedroom home that sleeps 12 was built with lakeside living in mind. Panoramic up lake and mountain views can be enjoyed from the large picture windows in the living room and expansive deck, which also connects to the upstairs master bedroom. This home is at the heart of this growing village and fronts Hilltop Park. With its proximity to the town of Chelan, the lake, local wineries, and outdoor spaces, there are always activities to enjoy year-round.

Uplake Perch features traditional styling with a modern touch that fits seamlessly within its lakeside setting. Natural wood trim and stone fireplace surround give the nod to traditional architectural details, while stainless steel appliances and granite countertops throughout the house make this home the ultimate vacation destination.

Home comforts include a fully stocked kitchen with island seating, a separate chef's pantry, and a large dining table with an adjacent stone-surround fireplace. The spacious, open living room with vaulted ceilings and large picture windows looks westward over the lake and surrounding neighborhood. Or, open the deck door and take in these incredible elevated views from the deck, located just off the living space, with comfortable seating and an outdoor fireplace.

In the spotlight of this home is a second stone-surround fireplace found in the lower level media room with a waterfall above it! Its dramatic height reaching up through the loft-style opening onto the main level, adds balance to the living areas and complements the natural wood trim and tile floor. Make yourself a refreshing beverage at the media room wet bar, step outside onto the covered ground-level patio, or cozy up in front of the large flat screen TV for a favorite movie. This is a great space for kids to play while adults can enjoy their time upstairs and keep an eye on them from above.

Each of the four generously sized bedrooms highlights quality furnishings, comfortable beds, fine linens, and plenty of storage space for a weekend or summer-long visit. All four bathrooms boast wood cabinets, granite counters, and beautiful tilework. The upstairs master bedroom features a king-size bed, a private deck with stunning views, and a full bath with a separate Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. A smaller bedroom on the main floor has two twin beds, perfect for kids. The lower-level master bedroom also enjoys great views and plenty of closet space. The other two downstairs bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds along with a bunk bed in one and share a full bathroom.

Dogs are allowed at Uplake Perch. Maximum of 2 dogs, 70 pounds or less, crate sleeper, potty trained. NO Puppies.

To start, the layout of the house is perfect for multiple families with kids or multiple couples since two rooms have an en suite bathroom. The house has wonderful views and is a great location by the playground and pool.

However, we had so many problems with the place during our stay. First, the heat thermostat was broken so we had no heat the first day/night and the outside temp went down to 29 degrees. It was freezing everywhere but esp in the lower floor. It was unbearably cold. The maintenance staff was quick to respond and arrived with two small portable heaters but it just wasn’t enough to heat a large home. They did eventually fix the thermostat but we had already gone thru two nights of misery. On top of that, none of the gas fireplaces were working. The maintenance guy got one fireplace to work but the other downstairs wouldn’t work. This was the theme for most of the trip. Lots of appliances not in great shape or not quite working properly. Also, on our last night, we were eating dinner at the table when one of the guests fell sitting on one of the dining chairs. The legs came off the top and we soon discovered that it was attached by only one bolt that was very loose. We tried to fix it by adding a bolt from one of the other chairs and realized that most chairs were missing bolts. We were so glad that one of our young kids weren’t sitting in that chair that fell. But if someone had a booster seat attached to that chair, it would’ve been very detrimental considering that chair was also next to the main floor railing that looks over the lower floor. That railing was also not bolted at the top so it shook when you touched the railing. It felt overall unsafe to have children in that area at all considering the lack of safety measures.

These things made it hard to enjoy our vacation and relax during our stay. In fact, it was extremely stressful with lack of heat, safety issues, things not functioning properly.

Great house! We'll be back!

Lovely large home with great views, but in need of a few fixes.....queen bed in room with bunks must have a broken support slat. It was constantly creaky and quite uncomfortable for two people. The room with twin beds are actually more like camp beds - somewhat flimsy and thin mattresses. Two of the home's toilet seats are loose and need replacing or fixing.

We had a great stay at the Uplake Perch. The property is a great location and plenty of room for all.
It is one of the "older" homes, but very nice. I suggest the kitchen be stocked with wine glasses for outside, plastic plates for outside dining.

Nice big house. The downside was that there isn't a hot tub or any kind of usable yard area for kids. Also, the air was hard to regulate. If the main floor was comfortable, the downstairs was freezing. But the house was large, clean and in a good location. The kitchen was well stocked except for wine glasses. With a four bedroom house there should be more than 6 wine glasses. :)

The perfect home for our celebration of many things. We had 8-10 people coming and going all week. It was the week of the heat wave and temps at 100. The homes HVAC system kept up and made the inside comfortable. The outside facilities and guests options were amazing. We used all the pools and the shuttle to the lake. The staff and grounds keepers were beyond great. We had an amazing time and would book this property again for a gathering of our family.

Very nice house. Lots of room, well equipped and modern. No complaints other than finding it. Googlemaps takes you to the bottom of the property where there is no access from the street. Recommend the welcome email include more precise directions.

My spouse and 4 adult kids with spouses enjoyed our stay at Upland Perch. The house was clean and the furnishings attractive and comfortable. The extra fridge in the garage and the wine fridge were great to have as well.

We had a group of 10 including 3 small children and the layout of the house was perfect for our family vacation. We didn't feel crammed in at all with plenty of space, and beds, for all. We loved that we never had to drive anywhere and every place we went, even into town, was walkable. Highly recommend!

Our family group of 12 had a great stay. The separate living spaces allowed the kids and adults to have their own space, and it is very spacious. We loved the kitchen pantry and 2nd refer so our food storage was easy. The year-round pool and hottubs were great for our teens, even in zero degree weather. The parking for 4 vehicles was cramped but workable. One minor item that could be improved would be a larger supply of utensils and cups; we seemed to regularly run short.

The house was gorgeous, inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine bottle from guest services as well as the fantastic customer service they provided. While we didn’t need to contact anyone for anything, their professional and kind demeanor when checking in on our trip was nothing short of fabulous. Directions to the house were easy, as well as rules for check-in/out & our stay in general. Gorgeous area, wonderful staff, convenience of nearby stores is top tier. After staying here, my family and I have decided to come back annually. And hopefully to #42 each time!

This was our 2nd year at uplake perch and it did not disappoint! Big spacious house that accommodates 10 people very comfortably. The back deck is awesome to watch the sunset! The fridge has a water dispenser that is malfunctioning to where it won’t shut off and you end up with water everywhere. There are also cruiser bicycles in the garage to use which were fun to ride around the property but be sure to double check if it’s sturdy and the handle bars are secure. Other than that our stay was a great family vacation!

We were 7 women celebrating my friend's upcoming wedding. We loved the spaciousness of the house, and the fact that we all got to have our own super comfortable beds. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time at the Lookout. What a great property. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

We had a family vacation this summer. This home was nice as there was areas for all to get away if needed. It does not show in the photos the nice downstairs patio with fire pit. It might be good if they put a couple umbrellas down there as it gets so hot in the afternoon you cannot use it. The upstairs deck was nice to sit and watch the sunset. Nice towels, bedding. It also would have been great to have a working vacume and broom to clean the house.

This was our second time at Uplake Perch. Both times we chose this home for the convenience of many bedrooms/beds and bathrooms. It also has a nice view, firepit and fireplace. The kitchen is large with everything we needed to cook for our large group. It was really helpful that thenowmwrs made the 3 car garage available asmparking is limited and sometimes challenging in the winter.

Air conditioning topped at 70 degrees, this was not a cheap property and to be unable on an 85 degree day to lower the air con was annoying. Nice house but getting dated, bed linens faded etc.
