Walking On Sunshine

Dreams do come true - and Walking on Sunshine is our dream. Sitting at the northernmost point of the North Cottages, Walking on Sunshine is set apart by the view. Views from the 2 covered decks, kitchen, living room, and master lake takes on center stage as you start to unwind and relax.

Walking on Sunshine is a 3-story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, and tons of living/relaxation space. Inside you will find comfortable couches, a 9 ft dining table for communal meals and/or family games, TVs large enough to be seen by a crowd, and bedrooms where you can recover from today and prepare for tomorrow. The highlight of our home is its 2 amazing decks. Each provides a sweeping view of the lake…equipped with a hot tub (lower level) and seating/lounging furniture upstairs off of the kitchen and living room. Want some quiet space in the sun? Sneak off to the bricked patio and soak up some of that famous Chelan sunshine.

Enter the main level and make yourself at home. No bedrooms on this floor - just living and gathering spaces. The comfy sectional makes it easy to gather, relax and/or watch a movie. The large kitchen offers an amazing view of the lake while you are doing the dishes! The large dining table makes it easy to feed a crowd, focus a large group during game night, and/or set up a craft station. Out the French doors, you find the upper of the 2 decks. BBQ on the Weber, relax on the outdoor sectional, eat at the is space for every person and every interest.

Head upstairs for the master suite. Wake up in the king-sized bed and the first thing you see is that gorgeous lake view. The chaise easily converts to a twin bed for more sleeping space or settle in to enjoy the view and/or read a book. There is plenty of room for a Pack ’n Play if your family brings one. The ensuite master bath offers a double quartz vanity and tiled shower - plus another great view of the lake.

The lower level features 2 bedrooms, a family room, and a full bathroom. The first bedroom features a queen bed, plenty of storage, and a door to shut out the world. Just steps from the lower deck, you’ll have easy access to the family room and the hot tub! The queen bunk room has a custom-designed unit with a queen mattress on the bottom with a twin bunk above. With built-in drawers and a closet, there is plenty of storage for your vacation stay. The family room offers storage, comfort, and entertainment. The sectional easily converts to a queen+ hide-a-bed as well as a perfect seat to watch your favorite movie or game on a 65" 4K LED Smart TV. The armoire stores a variety of games and books. The lower bathroom has a bathtub and plenty of hooks for towels and storage for bathroom kits. The lower deck is home to the hot tub. The paved patio provides a quiet hiding spot or a sunny place to enjoy the lake view.

Walking on Sunshine is a very short walk to the pool, parks, bike trails, and beach area. A quick phone call for a shuttle service to the lake makes your trip down, and up, even easier. The short walk to the heart of downtown Chelan features the city beach/park.

We’ve tried to think of everything to make your getaway a true vacation. Our goal is for you to love Lake Chelan as much as we do. Enjoy. Relax. Create.

Although this home doesn't accept pets, on occasion, the owner’s pet stays at this home.

The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. Please contact Lookout Cottage Rentals at with any questions or concerns.

Super easy, super straightforward. Well kept house designed for rentals. Decks are the best feature of the house. Vibe is super peaceful but not in a sleepy way. This was our 3rd time to the Lookout and this was our favorite house! The peonies were blooming and smelled luscious.

The wifi wasn't working when we arrived Friday night so the Lookout staff came, tried a few things and got it working Saturday afternoon. They were super nice, but since Netflix on the tv runs off the wifi it made Friday night game night (which there was a lot stocked thankfully)

Two negatives - kitchen here is sparse with essentials so bring sugar packets, coffee pods (Keurig), salt, spices, oils. The two layout in the sun chair beds were broken, but we ended up going down to the lake instead.

Amenities of the resort are Disney picture perfect and everyone is similarly super nice! Definitely the place to stay in Chelan!

We loved our time staying at Walking on Sunshine. The hot tub was great and had the best view! It was wonderful having a covered hot tub, too rather than just in the yard staring at another house. The unit had lots of towels and a well stocked kitchen. The beds are all comfy and had plenty of extra blankets/pillows. This unit has a lot of stairs so beware you'll be climbing up and down. The primary bedroom is huge. We loved the location and privacy backing to the vineyard and lake view. The unit has 2 amazing decks. Tip - back in to the parking spots. Not a lot of room to turn around. Can't wait to visit again!

We reserved this home last Fall, hoping for a family time together when cover would allow us. 'Walking on Sunshine' was perfect! It was clean and well stocked. We specially enjoyed the view from the very private hot tub!
While there, we sampled wines and viewed the lake from 'Lady of the Lake'.

Our one frustration was not being able to get ahold of the management after we checked in. They are only available from 9-5! No one at night!

Beautiful rental with amazing views. Spacing was great for 6 adults, big kitchen for cooking and common area to lounge. Unit was clean when we arrived and it was nice to have Guest Services check-in to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. The unit was decorated in an awesome style - we'd recommend this property to anyone for a stay. We'll definitely be back!

This house was so perfect for two families with two toddlers. One family slept upstairs in the large master bedroom, and the travel crib with black-out tent was tucked far enough away from the bed that we didn't bother each other while we slept. The second family slept in the basement, each in their own bedroom. The house had everything we needed, and the view from the deck was incredible. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful visit and stay at the Lookout. This home was beautiful, well stocked, spacious, very clean, and has great views of Lake Chelan. It's just as pictured. The shuttle service down to the beach and pool were easy to arrange and quick to arrive. We hope to return soon!

My family had a reunion this in Outlook cottage Walking on Sunshine year and it was truly amazing time. We all loved big and comfortable house we stayed in. It was clean, we had all the kitchen supplies we needed. No complains. We also enjoyed a pool and fun things for kids. It was our second year and we already make plans for next year.

We had three families rent this home and it was the perfect place for us. Great layout, great views, close to the new cottage pool. I do wish it had a driveway but it’s at the end of a road so the kids could ride their scooters pretty easily.

My friends and I were there celebrating our friends 50th. We had an incredible time. The home was pristine and ideal for the 8 of us. Perfect location with beautiful views. Close to Chelan and several wineries.
