Welcome to Wish You Were Here at The Lookout! 
 
Wish You Were Here is a modern, cozy cottage located in the new Vineyard district.  The open floor plan and comfortable, colorful furnishings create a warm environment for families and friends.  The house features an abundance of natural light all day long.  Wish You Were Here is kid and pet-friendly with hardwood floors on the first floor and carpeting upstairs.     
 
Downstairs is the open kitchen, dining room, and living room.  The kitchen has all the amenities to make your vacation hassle-free including a gas stove, coffee maker, and Keurig.  The dining room table includes two leaves to comfortably fit all group sizes.  The dining room also features a riddling rack for easy wine storage (up to 10 bottles).  The colorful living room includes an HD TV with cable, a Blu-ray player, and a Bluetooth soundbar.  
 
Wish You Were Here comfortable sleep 8 in the three bedrooms, including a bunk room for the kids. With the additional sleeper sofa, you have the ability to sleep 10.  The master bedroom features a king bed, ample storage, and an ensuite bathroom.  The bunk room features two sets of bunk beds, each with its own light and plenty of storage space.  The third bedroom has a queen bed and a built-in closet for your convenience. 
 
Outside you will find additional space for your perfect vacation, including a large grill connected to the house gas line so you will never run out of gas mid-cooking as well as a large table for outside dining and entertainment.   There are plenty of hooks to hang wet towels from the day at the lake.  The front porch features Adirondack chairs for relaxing.  
 
Walk out the front door to the Vineyard Park green space or take the short walk to The Lookout’s community pool and Hilltop park complete with a playground, playfield, pickleball court, large outdoor stone fireplace, and community grill.  Call the Lookout Valet to access the lake, whether it is the private beach or marina.  This home is perfectly situated for a family getaway, two family vacations, or a fun trip with friends. 
 
Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided and it has enough capacity to handle a full family of devices. 
 
A maximum of 2 dogs, 75 pounds or less, crate sleeper, and house-trained are permitted at Wish You Were Here

The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. Please contact Lookout Cottage Rentals at with any questions or concerns.

Great Experience like always. This is our 5th time staying at the Look out and have loved every trip.
Hot tub code wasn't given until I reached out, but they were super fast to service the hot tub and get us the code for use.
We love all of the amenities and the growth of the Look out! Wish you were here was a sweet home to stay at. I didn't recieve an email with our vacation dates and payment information immediately, I had to call and request it. Might have been a glitch.
They had dog bowls set out for our dog and some toys available. They had a playpen for our baby and a baby gate. We were super close to the pool and the shuttle to take us to the lake to take a second shuttle down to the beach. We will be back!

We stayed at this home for a week while visiting Chelan and were so impressed with the Lookout and this home. We have 2 toddlers and a dog and felt right at home staying here. The home was as described and the decorating was lovely. The location of the home in the Lookout community is centrally located which made it easy for us to go to either pool, walk to the playground and the swings. The home was also very clean and well-maintained and had a well-stocked kitchen for cooking at home. However, when we did want to go grab food in town, it was only a short 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants. We'd love to visit again and this location would be our first choice.

This home was perfect for our family of 4 and grandma. The kids were very comfortable in the bunk room and the grown-ups in their own rooms. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed; crockpot, kitchenaid mixer, electric kettle and two styles of coffee machines. We made almost every meal at the house and we were there for 10 days. The home is set up perfectly for having the main entertainment downstairs and sleeping upstairs. I also appreciated that the bathrooms had stools for the kids and we found baby gates and a highchair seat. All in all, this was a great stay and we will be back.

This was our 2nd visit to The Lookout for a vacation rental and we loved this house because it's pup friendly, has a lovely hot tub and firepit, and was more than spacious for the two of us. The kitchen had everything we needed and the king bed in the master was quite comfy (loved the ceiling fan above). We also appreciated the wireless speaker, cozy fireplace and swivel chairs in the living room. It's location on the green space was perfect for our pups!

Adorable house! Great floor plan. If you have kids this may not be the one since there are no plastic dishes!! Also wish there was more And comfy Seating on the porch by the grass. A few maintenance items, light bulbs out in bunk area and the master bed squeaks if you more an inch, annoying in the middle of the night. Easy fixable things! Not really a view of anything but we did like the grass for the kids.

This was our first time staying at The Lookout and it did not disappoint. Wish You Were Here #85 was well appointed, very clean, great space and decor, a wonderful porch to relax on, loved the hot tub and landscape, too.

We loved the home and area so much we have already started exploring buying into the community. The home was gorgeous with a well stocked kitchen and a very comfortable bed. This alone was a recipe for us to return. Being steps from the pool and beautiful sunrises made this home really shine.

The house was wonderful for my family of 4. Loved the hot tub and extras such as olive oil, S & P, seasonings, blankets, towels, etc. Also tons of appliances! The construction nearby was the only negative!

We enjoyed our stay! The weather cooperated! We had a few small problems that were taken care of in a timely manner.

The only real bummer was the Easter Egg hunt, there were just not very many (in our times spent looking).

A little surprised by all the construction, but we were told to expect it ahead of time. Looking forward to another visit when more of the work is completed.

We would like to come back!

Desperate for a change of scenery after 70+ days of quarantining, our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed "Wish You Were Here." The house was impeccably clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. While it doesn't offer a view of the lake, the proximity to the pool was absolutely perfect.

The Lookout at Lake Chelan could not have been a better vacation for our family. The house was new, clean, and very comfortable and the two pools, access to the lake, shared yards to play in, walkable design of the neighborhood... It was everything we could have wanted!
